Not quite sure what pose I'm doing here but we'll keep it. My third planned Nashville blog post coming tomorrow, which means I can no longer put it off...

Check out Pinewood Social along the riverfront in Nashville for a combined dining and fun experience. While our group didn't bowl when we stopped by, we did enjoy a delicious brunch, that offers both savory and sweet options. Recommendations for their Challah French Toast and Brown Butter Waffles.

We watched the Red Sox win the 2018 World Series inside this club. It was a weeknight and had completely cleared out so we could be as loud and obnoxious as we wanted and bothering no one.

Along with finally posting on here for the first time in years, I've finally updated my blog dietitiansdestinations.com with two posts about my trip to Nashville. The one up today is all about all the restaurants we ate at, including a last stop at Mike's Ice Cream & Coffee Bar. The post even has a link to a pinned food map to easily find each location.

It's been over two years since I last posted on this account so here's a list of what has been going on in my life since then (besides the obvious world events):

Dreaming about the beignets from Cafe du Monde. I love any fried dough pastry, they're one of my biggest weaknesses. As a nutritionist and future registered dietitian, people are always shocked to learn I enjoy indulging my sweet tooth. The truth is the majority of us live by "everything in moderation" because life's better when it's sweeter.

The Riverwalk in Baton Rouge is a great place to spend an afternoon. I was amazed while visiting, the water level was so high. But it's a tranquil place with a nice walking path and many areas to sit and enjoy the day.

I just returned from a nearly two week trip in the UK, visiting my sister and catching up with some friends. I had a lovely time, and am already looking forward to going back. I took over 1700 photos not including the ones on my phone so no promises to when I'll have those done. Spent 12 hours in Boston, just enough time to repack a bag and catch a few hours of sleep before heading to Kansas and Nebraska for a late family Christmas.
